As part of this collaboration, the Venice International Film Festival and Cartier pay tribute to exceptional filmmakers through the Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award, dedicated to a figure who has made an original contribution to the contemporary film industry.

CARTIER ON THE SILVER SCREEN

Between Cartier and cinema there is a strong, creative and emotional connection; that of a jeweller whose destiny has intertwined with that of the silver screen since the early 20th century. Directors from Jean Cocteau to Alfred Hitchcock, Georges Cukor and Alain Resnais have included Cartier in their credits. The movie business loves the little red box, diamonds and aura of Cartier, the jeweller who adorns the cinema and its stars, from Hollywood to the Cannes Film Festival.
