Santos-Dumont "Le Brésil" watch, limited edition of 100 individually numbered timepieces, Manufacture mechanical movement with manual winding, calibre 430 MC. Platinum case, crown set with a ruby cabochon, silvered dial, Roman numerals, black steel sword-shaped hands. Case back engraved with "Le Brésil" design. Grey alligator-skin strap, platinum 950/1000 ardillon buckle. Case dimensions: 43.5 mm x 31.4 mm, thickness: 7.3 mm. Water-resistant up to 3 bar (approx. 30 metres)

About the Collection

1904. Louis Cartier granted the wish of his friend, the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to be able to tell the time while flying. This was the birth of one of the first ever wristwatches. Featuring a geometric shape and exposed screws, the watch quickly became one of the Maison's watchmaking icons. The Santos rose to the ranks of a classic that would defy the hands of time.
